Fundraising Campaign Tea Gathering
On 16th January 2016, the school organised a tea gathering in the Kwok Siu Lau Hall to provide detailed information on the Fundraising Campaign and to take questions from those in attendance.
St Stephenies from different gradation years enthusiastically sacrificed their Saturday afternoon and to learn more about how they could help.
The event started with welcoming speech by Fundraising Committee Co-Chairmen, Ms Mildred Law and Professor Angelina Tsang.
Then the school principal Ms Maggie Chau explained in detail the areas where fundraising is most needed, including (1) upgrading the learning environment and resources (2) maintaining broad spectrum curriculum and catering for learning diversity (3) enhancing students’ whole person development (4) improving professional development for teachers (5) continuing campus management and maintenance.
The floor was then opened for questions from audience. Questions like an enquiry about various donation channels were fielded, and new ideas were suggested by the audience, such as designating specific donations for specific expenditure. The gathering was a fruitful and informal mutual exchange of ideas with the aim of bettering the Fundraising Campaign for the benefit of the school.
The tea gathering finished with a guided tour during which the audience visited different areas of the school to better understand the current condition and requirements of the school's premises and facilities.
It was indeed quite encouraging to see so many St Stephanies showing keen interest in learning how they can contribute. With this continued passion, our fundraising goal is close in sight!
